VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Valdosta State softball regular season finale and Senior Day versus Union has been canceled due to heavy rain overnight and this morning in Valdosta. 
 
The game will not be rescheduled as the Blazers now will turn their attention to the Gulf South Conference Championship.  VSU's doubleheader sweep of Union on Friday clinched the No. 7-seed in the upcoming conference tournament.  

VSU will open conference tournament play at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Ala., at 1:30 p.m. ET, Wednesday, May 6, versus the No. 2-seed which is still to be determined based on this weekend's results.  The Blazers finish the regular season at 24-24 overall and 16-16 in GSC play.
