PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Valdosta State men's tennis team dropped a 6-1, neutral site decision to No. 18 Mississippi College Friday.  The Blazers fell to 4-8 overall and 2-3 in Gulf South Conference play, while MC improved to 13-5 and 4-3 in league play.  On the women's side, the No.
 
Mississippi College won at the top two doubles spots to claim the early lead, while winning two singles matches by retirement.  Blazer junior Jerome Iaconi won at No. 3 singles, defeating Florian Walcher 7-5, 6-3. 
 
VSU will look to get back on track on Monday at Coastal Georgia in a makeup match from earlier in the season.  The match is set for 2 p.m.
