VALDOSTA, Ga. – Due to the threat of inclement weather on Saturday afternoon, the Valdosta State softball Senior Weekend series with Union has been altered.  
 
The Blazers now will play a doubleheader at 3 p.m. on Friday at Steel's Diamond at Blazer Park, followed by a single game Saturday beginning at 1 p.m.  Senior Day festivities will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. 
 
VSU enters the final weekend of the regular season with a 22-24 record overall and a 14-16 mark in Gulf South Conference play.  Union sits at 17-28 overall and 10-20 in league play.  The series will be streamed on FloCollege and the games also will be broadcast on 92.1 WDDQ FM in Valdosta and www.talk921.com with Wade Beale providing play-by-play coverage.  
 
The Blazers qualified for the GSC Championship, May 6-9 at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Ala., and either will be the No. 7-seed or the No. 8-seed depending on finishes this weekend.
