VALDOSTA, Ga. – Valdosta State softball standout Charlotte Phillips has been named a nominee for the 2025-26 Allstate NACDA Good Works Team, recognizing student-athletes across the country for their impact both on the field and in their communities.
Phillips was one of over 150 student-athletes nationwide selected as nominees for this year's team, representing a wide range of sports and divisions. The prestigious honor highlights individuals who demonstrate exceptional commitment to community service, leadership, and academic excellence in addition to their athletic achievements.
Among those nominees, only a small group came from the Gulf South Conference, with Phillips representing Valdosta State alongside a limited number of GSC student-athletes, including Delta State, making her recognition even more significant within the league.
On the field, Phillips has been a key contributor to the Blazers' lineup during the 2025-26 season. As shown in the team's stat sheet, she is hitting .341 with a 1.027 OPS, collecting 31 hits, including five home runs and 17 RBI. She has also scored 21 runs and added eight doubles, showcasing her ability to impact games both as a power hitter and a consistent offensive presence. Her production places her among the top hitters on the roster and highlights her importance in Valdosta State's offensive success this season.
Phillips' nomination reflects the core mission of the Allstate NACDA Good Works Team, which honors student-athletes who go beyond competition to make a difference. As noted in the release, the award recognizes those who "embody the spirit of service and leadership while excelling in athletics," a standard Phillips has consistently met throughout her career.
With her combination of on-field performance and off-field impact, Phillips continues to represent Valdosta State at a high level, earning national recognition as one of the premier student-athletes in collegiate softball.
