VALDOSTA, Ga. – Following its fifth-straight victory, the Valdosta State women's tennis team moved to No. 15 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings, announced Wednesday afternoon. 
 
The Blazers won 7-0 at Montevallo Tuesday evening as the Blazers improved to 6-3 overall and 3-0 in Gulf South Conference play.  Barry takes over the top spot in the national rankings, followed by West Florida, Nova Southeastern, West Alabama and Embry-Riddle rounds out the top five. 
 
Mississippi College sits sixth, while Florida Southern is 11^th and the Blazers are 15^th.  Flagler is 17^th this week, while Columbus State is 20^th comprising of teams the Blazers play this season.

In singles sophomore Ivana Castillo Hurtado is 65^th this week, up from 70^th last week.  Castillo Hurtado is 10-5 in singles this year and 7-4 in doubles.
