VALDOSTA, Ga. – Following its fifth-straight victory, the Valdosta State women's tennis team moved to No. 15 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings, announced Wednesday afternoon.
The Blazers won 7-0 at Montevallo Tuesday evening as the Blazers improved to 6-3 overall and 3-0 in Gulf South Conference play. Barry takes over the top spot in the national rankings, followed by West Florida, Nova Southeastern, West Alabama and Embry-Riddle rounds out the top five.
Mississippi College sits sixth, while Florida Southern is 11
th and the Blazers are 15
th. Flagler is 17
th this week, while Columbus State is 20
th comprising of teams the Blazers play this season.

Ivana Castillo Hurtado is 65
th this week, up from 70
th last week. Castillo Hurtado is 10-5 in singles this year and 7-4 in doubles.
