Blazer Volleyball Announces 2025 Schedule

VALDOSTA, Ga. – Valdosta State head volleyball coach Kaleigh Zoucha announced Tuesday the 2025 schedule featuring 14 exciting home matches at The Complex.
 
The 2025 slate kicks off in Golden, Colo., at the Oredigger Volleyball Classic, where VSU will face Grand Valley State, Colorado Christian, Colorado School of Mines and Washburn on Sept. 5-6.  From there, the Blazers return home to host the VSU Fall Tournament featuring matches with Shorter, Palm Beach Atlantic, Georgia College and Anderson on Sept. 12-13.  Grand Valley State finished 15th nationally last season, while Washburn was 24th.   

VSU will complete the non-conference slate for a pair of matches Sept. 19-20 at Tampa, facing both the Spartans and Florida Southern.  The Spartans finished 12th nationally last season.  
 
Gulf South Conference play opens with rival West Florida at home on Sept. 23 as the Blazers will play twenty league contests this season in a double round-robin format.  Last season, the Blazers went 19-12 overall and 13-7 in Gulf South Conference play.  Zoucha now has won 19 matches in back-to-back seasons as she begins her eighth season at the helm of the Blazers in 2025.  She has guided the Blazers to berths in the GSC Championship postseason tournament five times in her seven seasons in Titletown.  
 
Returning for 2025 for the Blazers are senior Ava Young who played in all 30 matches with 14 starts registering 67 kills in 203 swings (.153) with 64 total blocks and 21 solo rejections.  Also returning this season is senior Sabrina Oncins who played in 30 matches with ten starts registering 84 kills for the year, while recording 152 digs and had ten blocks.  Senior Katie Callenberger returns as well, as she started all 31 matches finishing fourth on the team in kills with 223 last season.  She hit .285 for the season and registered 66 blocks and 26 solo rejections for the season.  
 
Also returning for the Blazers are sophomores Mia Verger and Ava Keutjes, along with senior Kennedy Hairston, junior Hailey Holder and redshirt freshman Avery Mullins for Zoucha's 2025 team.  She added the services of six talented newcomers to complete the 2025 roster.  Click here for the 2025 Blazer volleyball roster.
