Blazer Athletics Raises Over $30,000 in Inaugural Day of Giving
VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Valdosta State athletic department had its inaugural Day of Giving on Tuesday, April 8 and the athletic department raised over $30,000.
"We are sincerely grateful for the incredible support shown during our inaugural Athletic Day of Giving," added Blazers Director of Athletics Troy Katen. "Thanks to the generosity of Blazer Nation, we successfully met our matching gift challenge and made meaningful progress in addressing several key needs across our athletic programs. Your support makes a lasting impact—thank you!"
The event was dedicated to raising funds and increasing awareness for key athletic programs and projects needing financial support. The campaign ended April 11, but you can still make a gift to Valdosta State by clicking here.
Gifts can be made to a specific sport as the donation went to funding the projects listed for that program, helping provide student-athletes with the resources, facilities, and support they need to excel on and off the field.
In addition to specific sport donations, priority projects ready for completion, as well as matching gift opportunities that can double the impact of your donation were options, along with Game-Changing Goals which discuss our giving priorities by sport, ensuring that your contribution directly benefits the teams and initiatives that matter most to you.
We greatly appreciate all of the donors from the Day of Giving event and thank you for your continuing support of Blazer Athletics.
