EATONTON, Ga. – Valdosta State sophomore men's golfer
Alexander Nilehn fired a 4-under 136 for the first two rounds of the 2025 Bobcat Invitational at Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee Monday. Nilehn carded rounds of 69 and 67 leading the field by one stroke heading into tomorrow's final round.
West Florida's Eddie Lee is second at 3-under 137, while his UWF teammate TJ Thomson sits third at 2-under 138 and there is a four-way tie for fourth at even par.
As for the team standings, the Blazers are tied for ninth with No. 13 Columbus State with a 588 score on rounds of 302 for the first round and then the team caught fire for a 2-over 286 score for the second round. No. 2-ranked North Georgia leads the 15-team field with a 573 score, while No. 3 West Florida is second at 574 and No. 8 Lee is third at 577. No. 9 USC Aiken is fourth at 579, while No. 20 Nova Southeastern is fifth at 582. Between the tie for ninth and fourth, nine strokes separate seven teams.

st after opening with a 75 and finishing the day with a 71 for a 146 score. Sophomore

th as he carded rounds of 76 and 71 for a 147 score. Senior

Brandon Cho is tis tied for 67
th with rounds of 83 and 75 for a 158 score.
The tournament is scheduled for an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start Tuesday morning.
