VALDOSTA, GA. — The Valdosta State Lady Blazers return home to The Complex looking to build momentum as they host the Fort Lauderdale Eagles at 1 p.m. tomorrow, Dec. 29th.

Valdosta State enters the contest with a 3-7 overall record, including a 1-4 Gulf South Conference mark, after navigating a challenging early season schedule against strong Division II competition. The Lady Blazers have leaned on balanced scoring and strong rebounding, averaging 66.2 points per game while holding a +4.2 rebounding advantage over opponents.

Junior guard Erin Whalen has been a consistent force scoring and on the boards for VSU, pacing the team in both categories with 13.2 points and 8.8 rebounds per contest. Close behind is senior guard Aryana Hicks, averaging 12.9 points per contest on efficient shooting this season while leading VSU in assists. Guard Alina Martin and forward Amaya Broadus have also flashed with big offensive performances forcing defenses to stretch out early on this season.

Valdosta State sits at a .406 shooting split from the field as a unit and is solid at the free throw line at nearly 74 percent, a key factor and a mark to build on the rest of the way.

Fort Lauderdale comes to Valdosta with a 2-9 record, scoring 49.0 points per game while allowing 69.1, shooting .354 from the field and .483 at the free throw line. The Eagles average nearly 40 rebounds per game and have some statistical strength on the glass, but will look to limit turnovers and generate more offensive consistency.

Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. tomorrow, Dec. 29th inside The Complex. Let's pack the stands, bring the energy, and give the Lady Blazers a strong home court boost. Tickets can be purchased here.
