NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Valdosta State men's basketball continues Gulf South Conference play on the road Wednesday, Dec. 18, as the Blazers face Trevecca Nazarene in a late-night matchup scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET.

VSU enters the contest looking to respond after a narrow setback last weekend at West Florida. The Blazers dropped a 107–104 decision in a high-scoring, back-and-forth battle in Pensacola, erasing a nine-point halftime deficit and trading the lead multiple times in the second half before West Florida sealed the game at the free-throw line in the closing seconds. Despite the loss, Valdosta State showcased its offensive firepower, shooting 54.2 percent from the floor, scoring 64 points in the paint, and adding 28 fast-break points along with 22 second-chance points.

Individually, VSU saw strong performances across the lineup against the Argonauts. Devon Rainey led the Blazers with 21 points, while MJ Jones added 16 points behind three made three-pointers. Blaise Wallace anchored the interior with a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds, Drew Mills chipped in 15 points, and Antonio Green provided a spark off the bench with 12.

The Blazers will look to carry that offensive momentum into Wednesday's matchup against Trevecca Nazarene, a team known for its physical play and disciplined approach on both ends of the floor. Controlling tempo, finishing possessions, and limiting second-chance opportunities will be key as VSU looks to secure an important road win.

Tipoff is set for 8:30 p.m. ET in Nashville as Valdosta State continues its stretch of conference play, aiming to get back in the win column before the holiday break.
