Junior Eimy Negron Domenech earned her third Gulf South Conference Defensive Player of the Week award this week. The libero from Orlando, Fla. has claimed the last three straight weekly awards. Negron Domenech has amassed 192 digs at a pace of 6.19 per set in just the last three weeks of GSC play. Her season-long totals of 381 digs and 4.54 digs per set are both top-five marks in the conference.

This week's award comes on the heels of three more strong starts at libero. Negron Domenech posted 71 digs over the three matches at a rate of 5.92 digs per set. She also added four service aces, four kills, and 12 assists to her week's resume. 

Negron Domenech and the Blazers return to the Complex this weekend for their final two home matches of the season. The Blazers host West Alabama (10-13, 5-10 GSC) on Friday, Nov. 7th at 6 p.m. and Mississippi College (9-16, 6-9 GSC) on Saturday, Nov. 8th at 12 p.m. Check back with vstateblazers.com and the volleyball schedule page for links to live stats and streaming options.
