Clear Bag Policy Announced for Saturday’s Playoff Game at Albany State

VALDOSTA, Ga. – Albany State University has a clear bag policy for its football games and will be enforced this weekend when Valdosta State and Albany State battle at 1 p.m., Saturday in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Division II Playoffs at the ASU Coliseum on the campus of Albany State University.
 
The following outlines bags that are permitted:
  • Bags that are clear plastic and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12";
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc bag or similar); and
  • Small clutch bags, with or without a handle or strap, that do not exceed 4.5" x 6.5" (approximately the size of a hand).
  • An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.
Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to: purses larger than a clutch bag; briefcases; backpacks, cinch bags, and fanny packs that are not clear and/or exceed the size restriction; luggage of any kind; computer bags/cases; camera bags/cases; binocular bags/cases or any bag larger than the permissible size.

Fans will continue to be able to carry items allowed into the stadium in a permissible clear bag.  Phones, cameras, tablets and binoculars may be carried separately from a clear bag.
 
The following items ARE PROHIBITED:
  • Beverages
  • Food
  • Alcoholic Beverages
  • Cans
  • Coolers or ice chest
  • Thermo/metal bottles
  • Bags (not compliant with the Clear-Bag Policy)
  • Horns or noise makers
  • Laser Pointers
  • Any other items deemed dangerous or inappropriate by security or game management
 
PROHIBITED BAGS:
  • Backpacks of any type
  • Printed pattern plastic bags
  • Purses
  • Grocery bag
  • Duffel bag
  • Large tote bag
  • Cinch bag
  • Diaper Bag
  • Colored plastic storage bag
  • Any other bags deemed non-compliant by security or game management
