VALDOSTA, Ga. – Following a thrilling 47-44 overtime victory at No. 3 West Florida on Saturday afternoon, the 2025 NCAA Division II Football Selection Show is scheduled for Sunday evening, Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. ET on NCAA.com.

Find out who, where and when the Blazers will play on the selection show by clicking the link to the right of this story.  The Blazers earned the Gulf South Conference's automatic qualifier to the NCAA postseason by winning the 12th league title in program history Saturday.

VSU will compete for the 21st time in the NCAA postseason and look for its fifth national title (2004, 2007, 2012 and 2018), while the Blazers have competed in seven national title games with appearances also in 2002, 2021 and 2024. VSU is 34-16 all-time in the NCAA postseason.

The 21 appearances by the Blazers will tie former GSC member North Alabama for most in league history as UNA was 35-18 all-time in the postseason with three national titles.  Once the field is announced, the 21 appearances by the Blazers sits fourth-most all-time in NCAA Division II behind likely 27 appearances from Northwest Missouri State, 24 from Grand Valley State and 22 from Pittsburg State.

Heading into the postseason, the Blazers' 34 wins sit fourth all-time in D2 and third among current institutions behind Northwest Missouri State (53), Grand Valley State (40), North Alabama (35) and VSU 34.  North Alabama now competes in NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).
