BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Coming off the thrilling 27-23, come-from-behind victory over then-No. 21 Delta State on Saturday, Valdosta State swept the Gulf South Conference weekly awards, the league office announced Monday.

Blazer junior running back Corey Reddick, Jr., earned Offensive Player of the Week honors, while sophomore linebacker Julius Pascal earned Defensive accolades, freshman kicker Matt Rolader earned Special Teams honors for the second time and freshman running back/return specialist Shawn Paschall earned Freshman honors for the third time.

This marks the first time the Blazers have swept the weekly awards since Nov. 5, 2012.  The Blazers have had three winners on multiple times, but have not had all four since 2012.  VSU last had three winners in the same week in 2023, on Nov. 13.  West Alabama swept the weekly honors on Sept. 29, 2025, as the only other time this season.

Reddick, Jr., a native of West Palm Beach, Fla., had a season-high 151 yards on the ground on 18 carries and one touchdown with a long rush of 43 yards, while catching three passes for three yards as VSU upset No. 21 Delta State 27-23 Saturday afternoon.  He averaged 8.4 yards per carry as the Blazers rushed for 185 yards as DSU entered allowing just 118 yards on the ground for the season for 39th nationally.

He has scored in three-straight games - all wins by the Blazers and his 43-yard touchdown run pulled the Blazers within 23-17 in the third quarter against Delta State.  VSU outscored Delta State 17-2 in the second half after trailing 21-10 at halftime.  VSU did not take the lead until the final nine seconds of the contest.  Reddick, Jr., leads the team with 556 yards on 94 carries for a 6.0 average per game for the season and seven rushing touchdowns.  This marks the first Offensive Player of the Week honor for VSU this season.

Pascal, a native of Miami, Fla., was all over the field for the Blazers on Saturday.  He registered a career-high 14 total tackles with a season-high nine solo stops, one tackle for loss for five yards and combined on a sack for four yards.

He leads the team with 74 total tackles for the season and a team-high 38 solo stops.  The Blazers held DSU to just 86 yards on the ground on 42 carries (2.0 avg.) as the Statesmen entered averaging 175.9 yards on the ground and didn't allow a point by the defense over the final three quarters of the game as VSU outscored DSU 20-2 through the final 45 minutes, after DSU scored touchdowns on its first three drives of the game in the first quarter.  Pascal is the second different Blazer to earn Defensive Player of the Week honors this season as senior defensive lineman Mark Robinson earned Co-Defensive Player of the Week accolades on Oct. 27.

Rolader, a native of Auburn, Ala., went 2 for 2 in field goals and 3 for 3 in extra-points in the Blazers' win on Saturday.  Rolader kicked field goals of 44 yards and 30 yards, while converting all three extra-point tries in the win, scoring nine points.  He improved to 7 of 9 on the year in field goals and 30 of 31 in extra-points.  This is Rolader's second Special Teams honor of the season, while Paschall and junior punter Devin Walter also have earned Special Teams accolades this season.  Rolader has been named weekly best four times overall and Freshman of the Week twice.

Paschall, a Deerfield Beach, Fla., native, continued his impressive second half of the season as he rushed eight times for 40 yards and scored the first Blazer touchdown of the game in the first quarter pulling the Blazers within 14-7 at the time on a 19-yard run, marking his third collegiate rushing score of his career.  He also had one catch out of the backfield for seven yards.  Paschall's eight carries were good for second-most by him this season, as were his 40 yards on the ground.  He also had two kickoff returns for 25 yards in the game and a long return of 29 yards.  He has earned Special Teams Player of the Week honors once and Freshman accolades three times.

The Blazers head to No. 3 West Florida (9-0, 2-0 GSC) for the outright Gulf South Conference title on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET in Pensacola, Fla.  With a win, VSU (5-4, 2-0 GSC) would earn the league's automatic berth into the NCAA postseason and win its 12th GSC title.
