Junior Eimy Negron Domenech claimed her second consecutive Gulf South Conference Defensive Player of the Week recognition on Tuesday. Negron Domenech followed last week's award with three strong starts at libero. The Blazers went 2-1 on the week, defeating Union and Christian Brothers at the Complex but dropping a match to AUM in Montgomery.

Negron Domenech notched a team-high 63 digs while averaging an impressive 6.30 digs per set over the three contests. She posted 25 digs at AUM, 23 in a sweep victory vs Christian Brothers, and 15 in another three-set win vs Union. Negron Domenech also contributed offensively, adding 12 assists, two service aces, and two kills. The Hillsborough CC transfer has averaged 4.31 digs per set in her first year as Blazer, the sixth-most efficient pace in the Gulf South Conference.
