VSU enters looking to snap a four-match skid as it is 1-7-4 overall and 0-6-1 in Gulf South Conference play.  The Blazers dropped a 2-0 decision at home to No. 6 West Florida on Sunday and a 1-0 loss to Spring Hill College last Friday, beginning the home stand.  VSU has been blanked in its last three matches and has not scored a goal since the 80.54 mark at West Alabama on Oct. 3, for a span of 279:06 minutes.

Despite the tough losses, the Blazers have battled hard in every match and are led this season by junior Taylor Youmans who leads the team with three goals for six points.  She has 16 shots for second on the team and nine on target, while registering the one game winner in a 1-0 win at Georgia Southwestern on Sept. 14.  Senior Katherine Kimmel and sophomore Maria Rojas are second in scoring with a goal each, while sophomore Andrea Dandeneau has one assist on the year.  Rojas leads the team with 23 shots and 11 on frame.

Head coach Stephen Andrew is in his ninth season at the helm of the Blazers.  He is the winningest coach in program history at 67-60-18 at VSU, while he is 51-41-11 in GSC play and is 207-115-27 all-time in 19 years of coaching, including stops at Piedmont and Huntingdon Colleges.

The Blazers lead the all-time series with AUM 7-2, but lost 2-1 last season in Montgomery as the Warhawks snapped a seven-match winning streak by the Blazers.  VSU is 3-1 all-time against AUM in Valdosta as the Warhawks won the first meeting in the series in Valdosta on Sept. 4, 2016.  The Blazers have outscored AUM 32-11 in the nine previous meetings.  The Blazers last won in Valdosta in the series on Oct. 23, 2022, with a 4-0 victory to conclude the season.

AUM enters with a 1-8-2 record overall and a 0-5-2 record in GSC play.  The Warhawks dropped a 3-0 decision to Georgia College on Wednesday.  This season, AUM is led by Aisling Roche who has two goals and one game winner on the year.  She has eight shots with three on target for the season.  Michaelyn Manning and Chloe Wallace each have one goal and one assist for the season.  In goal, Karla Guzman-Ortiz has played all 990 minutes, surrendering 25 goals for a 2.27 GAA with 79 saves and one shutout, while facing 200 shots.  Head coach Julianne Herrity is in her sixth season at the helm of the Warhawks in 2025.

The Tritons of Eckerd College enter the weekend at 3-4-3 on the year and are 2-2-2 in Sunshine State Conference play.  EC is scheduled to play at Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday, before heading to Valdosta for Monday's match.

This marks the first meeting in series history on the pitch as the teams were supposed to play last season, also in Valdosta, but were unable to do so because of the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
