VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Valdosta State men's golf team returns to the links this week as it travels to the Argonaut Invitational Monday and Tuesday on the par 72, 6,903-yard Pensacola Country Club course in Pensacola, Fla.
The tournament is set for 36-holes on Monday beginning at 10 a.m. ET with a shotgun start, followed by 18-holes on Tuesday with a 10 a.m. start. The 2024 edition of the tournament includes top-ranked North Georgia and four other teams in the top ten of both the Clipped and GCAA polls, Lincoln Memorial (2/2), Georgia Southwestern (4/3), Oklahoma Christian (5/5) and Lee (7/6). No. 17/17 West Florida is fielding two teams for the tournament, while No. 19/19 Henderson State, No. 21/24 Shorter and No. 23/23 Coker round out the teams in the top 25 of both polls. The remainder of the field includes, Columbus State, Carson-Newman, Flagler, Montevallo and VSU.

Last time out, the Blazers finished 12
th at the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Georgia College on Mar. 18-19. Cho paced the team as he finished tied for eighth with a 214 score on rounds of 71, 72 and 71. Nilehn finished tied for 37
th with a 221 score on rounds of 72, 78 and 71.
VSU finished 14
th in the Argonaut Invitational last season as the tournament was cut short to one day instead of two due to inclement weather for the final round. Folsom finished tied for 56
th last year with a 153 score, while Long competed as an individual finishing tied for 87
th with a 163 score.
