MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Valdosta State men's golf team fired a final round 288 to finish fourth at the Milton Makeup on the par 71, Miami Shores Country Club Course. No. 7 Lee carded a final round 6-under moving up two spots to win the title by four strokes over host Barry.
Lee finished at 14-under 838 on rounds of 285, 275 and 278, while Barry carded a 289 on Tuesday to finish second at 10-under 842. Nova Southeastern finished third with a final round 284 at 8-under 844, followed by the Blazers at 5-under 847 (281-278-288). Flagler finished fifth at 861, followed by Union (866), the Barry "B" Team (872), Tampa (875) and Lynn was ninth at 883.
Lee's Drew Zielinski earned medalist honors with an 11-under 202, while Florida Gulf Coast individual Sebastian Gamboa fired a final round 65 to move up five spots to finish second at 9-under 204. Teammate Christian Figueredo finished 8-under (205) for third, while there way a tie for fourth between Barry's Albin Ekvall and Brett Jones at 5-under.

Alexander Nilehn finished tied for sixth at 4-under 209 on rounds of 69, 68, 72. Blazer junior
Elad Sebbag finished tied for 12
th with a 1-under 212 score on rounds of 69, 70, 73. Senior
Brandon Cho fired a final round 70 to jump eight spots to finish tied for 17
th with an even par 213 on rounds of 72, 71 and 70. Senior
Chase Long tied for 22
nd with a 215 score (71, 71, 73) and senior
Parker Highsmith, who carded an eagle on the par 4 number 12 hole on Tuesday, finished tied for 26
th with a 217 score on rounds of 73, 69, 75.
That concludes the fall portion of the schedule for the Blazers. VSU returns to the links in February, 2025, on Feb. 10-11 at Lone Palm Golf Club in Lakeland, Fla., for the Matlock Collegiate.
