VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Valdosta State women's soccer team will play its first true home match in almost a month on Thursday at 1 p.m. versus Gulf South Conference newcomer Trevecca Nazarene at the Soccer Pitch. The Blazers then travel to Auburn Montgomery for a Saturday matchup at 4 p.m. ET.

VSU has not a had a home match at the VSU Soccer Pitch since a 3-0 win over Georgia Southwestern on Sept. 18. The Blazers did play two home matches versus Alabama Huntsville and West Alabama on the campus of Georgia Southwestern following Hurricane Helene. The match versus Trevecca was originally scheduled in September 27, but was postponed due to the storm.
The Blazers went 1-1 this past week with a 3-0 loss at No. 15 West Florida and then won 4-0 at Spring Hill College on Sunday. Against the Badgers, the four goals marked a season-high as the Blazers scored the game winner just 7:48 into the contest with a goal from sophomore

Katherine Kimmel leads the team with eight points on two goals and a team-high four assists. She has scored both goals on penalty kicks. Freshman
Maria Rojas has two goals for the season and leads the team with 15 shots and ten on frame, along with one penalty kick.
In goal, the Blazers have a 1.50 goals against average with 42 saves, 15 goals allowed, and five shutouts while facing 98 shots. Senior
Emma Pruett has a 1.54 goals against average in 527:20 minutes with nine goals allowed, 18 saves and a 3-3 record with 2.5 shutouts. Junior
Claire Timberlake has played in 365:34 minutes with six goals allowed for a 1.48 GAA. She has 23 saves and is 1-2-1 on the year with two shutouts. Sophomore
Tori Vliet has played 7:06 minutes this season with one save and combined for a shutout. Timberlake tallied a career-high nine saves against West Alabama (Oct. 6) and matched that with nine stops at West Florida last Friday.

Stephen Andrew is 202-106-21 all-time in 18 seasons of coaching. He is 62-51-12 at the helm of the Blazers in his eighth season in Titletown.
Trevecca Nazarene joined the GSC this season and the Nashville, Tenn., school is 2-4-3 this season and 1-2-3 in GSC play. TNU is coming off a 1-1 tie versus Lee on Friday, Oct. 11, and has gone 0-1-2 in its last three matches, including a 2-1 loss to Spring Hill and a 1-1 tie versus No. 15 West Florida.
The Trojans have scored 11 goals with eight assists for 30 points this season, while they have 87 shots (.126) with 38 on frame (.437). Skye Baun leads the team with four goals and eight points. She has 11 shots (.364) with five on target (.455). Katelyn Keough is one of four players with one goal and one assist and she leads the team with 19shots and five on frame. Isabel Felger has a team-high two assists and is second in shots with ten and a team-high six on target. In goal, Bailie Fiore has played 711:10 minutes and allowed 11 goals for a 1.39 GAA. She has 30 saves and is 2-4-2 on the year with one shutout and faced 104 shots. Anna Wyatt has played in one match for 90 minutes allowing one goal with nine saves and faced 20 shots.
Head coach Nathan Harrell is in his second season at TNU and is 8-11-8 at the helm of the Trojans. Harrell is 55-75-15 in nine seasons of coaching as he was the head coach at Emmanuel (Ga.) for seven seasons from 2016-2023. Harrell was the head coach at Emmanuel when the Blazers played at EU on Sept. 4, 2022, in a 2-2 tie in Franklin Springs, Ga. Thursday's match marks the first meeting between TNU and VSU on the pitch.
Auburn Montgomery enters the week with a 2-7-2 record overall and a 0-6-1 record in GSC play. The Warhawks have dropped their last three matches and have gone 0-6-2 since a 4-2 win over Edward Waters on Sept. 11. This season, AUM has scored 17 goals with 12 assists for 46 points, while it has 91 shots (.187) with 49 on target (.538). The Warhawks have allowed 24 goals with 19 assists for 67 points, while the opposition has 177 shots (.136) with 99 on frame (.559).
Individually, Laia Gonzalez leads the team with five goals and one assist for 11 points. She has 16 shots for tops on the team (.313) with ten on frame (.625) and both game winners. Four different players have two assists each, while Michaelyn Manning is second in scoring with eight points on three goals and two assists. In goal, Karla Guzman-Ortiz has started all 11 matches, allowing 22 goals in 965:18 minutes with 71 saves and one shutout. She has faced 167 shots and is 2-7-2 on the year. Faith Rush has played in one match for 24:42 minutes, surrendering two goals and has two saves.
VSU leads the all-time series with AUM 7-1 and has won seven-straight dating back to a 1-0 loss in Valdosta in the series-opener on Sept. 4, 2016. The Blazers won 3-1 in Montgomery, Ala., last season, on Sept. 15 as the Blazers held a 2-0 lead at halftime on goals from seniors

rd minute, before Gonzalez scored for the Warhawks for the final margin. It was the league-opener for both teams last season. VSU has won all four meetings in Montgomery and outscored the Warhawks 15-8 there. Overall, VSU has outscored AUM 31-9 in the eight meetings with three shutouts.
