First Set:
The Blazers kicked the match off with a hot start, building a 12-8 lead in the blink of an eye at the beginning of the first set. However, UWA battled back on a 4-1 run to bring the set within one at 13-12. The Blazers and Tigers traded points back and forth until UWA struck with a three-point run to go up by one, 18-17. The West Alabama lead was short lived as the Valdosta State offense kicked it into high gear, out scoring the Tigers 8-1 in the closing moments of the set. VSU ended up sealing set one at 25-19 following the massive run by the Blazers to take the early match advantage.

Second Set:
Valdosta State continued its momentum from set one at the start of set two as the Blazers scored on eight consecutive serves from graduate student Mallory Roney to go up 8-2 in the early goings of the frame. From there, the Blazers ended up building a massive 14-6 lead in a flash.  The Tigers quickly responded with a 6-1 run to make things a little closer at 15-12. With UWA knocking on the door, VSU kicked it up a notch, holding onto the lead for the remainder of the set. West Alabama's only lead in the second set came in the early moments of the frame at 2-0 but from there it was mostly all VSU as the Blazers took the set in a similar fashion to set one, 25-19. The biggest difference maker in set two was errors as UWA suffered 10 compared to VSU's two, proving to be a major factor for the set.

Third Set:
Much like the second set, the Blazers rushed out to a modest 6-2 lead to start out the set, scoring six-straight after UWA began the match up 2-0. West Alabama responded by scoring six uncontested points of their own to take the lead, 8-6. VSU then went on a small five-point run to take back the lead at 11-8, but the Tigers snatched the lead right back on a 5-1 run at 13-12. West Alabama and Valdosta State traded three points back and forth before the Blazer offense took off once again, scoring five straight to go up by four, 20-16. The Tigers were unable to come back from this run, scoring four more points down the stretch as VSU closed out the set on a 5-2 run to complete the sweep, 25-20.
