INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The 2021 NCAA Division II Football Championship Selection Show is be announced live on NCAA.com on Sunday, Nov. 14 at 5 p.m.
 
The Super Region Two-leading Valdosta State football team is No. 2 in both the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Top 25 and in the D2Football.com Top 25.  The Blazers suffered the first defeat of the season Saturday evening in a 61-42 loss at No. 3 West Florida for the regular season finale for both teams. 

The Blazers have been the top-ranked team in the previous three Super Region Two rankings and are looking for their 18^th appearance in the NCAA postseason.  VSU is 26-13 all-time in the postseason with four national titles in 2004, 2007, 2012 and 2018.  The 26 victories in the NCAA postseason are fifth-most all-time in NCAA Division II history and third-most among current Division II institutions as Northwest Missouri State and Grand Valley lead the way with 48 and 35 each.
