CARROLLTON, Ga – The Valdosta State volleyball team dropped in four sets to West Georgia Saturday evening in their last regular season match as freshman 
Kylie Stroehlein and senior 
Tammy Reyes-Perez each recorded double-doubles. Stroehlein tallied 11 kills and 13 digs while Reyes-Perez had 35 assists and 12 digs.
 
First Set:
The first set became tied at eight before the Blazers took control at 11-9. VSU continued to hold on the entire way as they went on to take the first set comfortably, 25-19.
 
Second Set:
UWG took the lead the second set, but the Blazers fought back and tied the set at 19 before the Wolves took control again and barely came out on top the second set 25-23.
 
Third Set:
The Wolves recorded seven straight points early in the set at 12-4 as the Blazers answered with their own series of five straight points but it wasn't enough as UWG took the third set 25-22.
 
Fourth Set:
Starting off the fourth set, the Wolves took the lead at 11-5. The Blazers continued to fight back but were unsuccessful as UWG took the fourth set 25-12 and the match 3-1.
 
Inside the Numbers:
For the match, the Blazers recorded 65 digs, 37 assists, 37 kills, 14 blocks, and four service aces. Stroehlein led the Blazers in kills with 11 as freshman 
Jojo Smith followed with 10 and sophomore 
Kennedy DeLuca had eight. Redshirt freshman 
Lyara Rosario led the Blazers with 22 digs followed by Stroehlein with 13 and Reyes-Perez had 12. Blocks for VSU was led by graduate student 
Grace Daugherty (7), DeLuca (5), and Smith (5). Rosario recorded two service aces followed by Stroehlein and Reyes-Perez with one as Reyes-Perez also led with 35 assists.
