VALDOSTA, Ga. – Valdosta State volleyball freshman
Caitlin Warnshuis was named Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week for her performance this past week, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Warnshuis had a stellar week playing in four matches, 15 sets total, tallying 49 kills with only nine attacking errors and hit a .488.  A total of 20 of Warnshuis' kills were recorded in the match against Mississippi College on October 20, while she only had one attacking error and hit at a .633 average.  She added three digs, and five blocks for the week.

For the season, the Canton, Mich., native, has recorded 110 kills on 35 errors, hitting at a .313 clip. Warnshuis has 14 digs, 12 block assists, four solo blocks, two assists, and has scored 120.0 points.Â

Blazer volleyball is back in action this weekend traveling to Alabama as they play Montevallo on October 29, at 7 p.m., and at Alabama Huntsville on October 30, at 2 p.m., ET.
