DAHLONEGA, Ga. – An early goal and late goal handed the Valdosta State women's soccer team a 2-0 loss at North Georgia Friday evening. With the loss, the Blazers fell to 0-2 on the year, while UNG improved to 3-0.

UNG opened the game with a goal in the 12
th minute as Taylor Malasek scored the game winner for the Nighthawks. She finished with four shots and three on frame and a goal. Katey Derkay had a game-high five shots and three on goal.
The game remained 1-0 through the first half as the Blazers struggled to get much offensive action. Lewis' shot came in the 41
st minute, but it sailed wide for the lone shot in the half for the Blazers.
The Nighthawks had a shot by Meredith Tucker at 81:12 and then Rosie Embley finished with the second goal second later and a 2-0 lead.
