VALDOSTA, Ga. – No. 39 Valdosta State men's golf team heads to the Argonaut Invitational, Monday and Tuesday at Pensacola Country Club in Pensacola, Fla. 
 
The Blazers are one of 12 teams in the 18-team field ranked the top 40 of the latest Golfstat rankings.  Host UWF, is No. 3 to lead the teams ranked, while No. 5 Florida Southern, No. 9 St. Mary's (Texas), No. 12 Saint Leo, No. 17 Missouri-St. Louis, No. 19 Limestone, No. 22, Columbus State and No. 24 Henderson State round out the teams in the top 25. 
 
No. 30 Lee, along with No. 35 Arkansas Tech, the No. 39 Blazers and No. 40 Lindenwood round out the top 40 teams.  No. 49 Southwestern Oklahoma State, No. 55 Montevallo, No. 68 Delta State, No. 98 Christian Brothers and Spring Hill round out the field.

VSU will send senior Matt Anderson, freshman Brock Healy, sophomore Wesley Hanson and freshman Davis and Gage Smith for the Blazers' lineup, while junior Jordan Long will be playing as an individual. 

"We are looking forward to bouncing back after our last tournament, and carrying some positive momentum into the Gulf South Conference Championship," VSU head coach Jarred Purvis said. 
 
Following the tournament, the Blazers will head to the GSC Championship, Apr. 14-16 at Robert Trent Jones Magnolia Course in Mobile, Ala.
