DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Valdosta State women's tennis team is still searching for its first win of the season after a 4-0 setback at Embry-Riddle Thursday afternoon.

VSU (0-6) dropped the doubles point as Robert Krvajica and Mafalda Soares won at No. 3 over freshman Rachel Chan-Yaneff and sophomore Amelia Cornwall, 6-3, while Alexis Marshall and Georgina Wood downed senior Daniella Barta and freshman Eva Rivoal at No. 2 to claim the point.

In singles, three matches were left unfinished with two of them in the third set when the match was clinched.  Coming off the court first was the No. 2 match as Wood defeated Barta, 6-3, 6-3, while Sabrina Ehrenfort downed freshman Birte Langestein, 6-0, 6-3 for a 3-0 lead.

In a tough match, Hera Bork Brynjarsdottir battled back from a 6-4 loss in the opening set at No. 5, to win 6-4 in the second set, but Soares bested her in the third 6-1 to win the match.
