VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Valdosta State women's tennis team fell to 0-4 on the year after a 5-0 loss to No. 20 Rollins Saturday afternoon at the VSU Tennis Courts. Rollins improved to 2-0 on the year.
Rollins won the double point, winning all three matches, but the Blazers put in a good showing at No. 1 doubles as Estee Widdershoven and
Eva Rivoal battled to a 6-4 loss to Alexnadra Borg and Teresa Kaiser. The Tars won at No. 2, 6-0 and No. 3, 6-3.
In singles, Rollins clinched the match with wins at Nos. 6, 1, 4, 2, but the Blazers put in a good effort in the loss.
Birte Langestein was leading her match at No. 3 when
Hera Bork Brynjarsdottir was leading in the third set 4-2.
