VALDOSTA, Ga.- The Valdosta State volleyball team goes back on the road this week, as they face Mississippi College and West Alabama. Mississippi College will be the first opponent as the Blazers will face the Choctaws Friday night at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday, VSU travels to West Alabama, as the Blazers and Tigers square off at 2:00 PM.

Who is Mississippi College?
- Currently, the Choctaws sport a 7-11 record overall and a 2-3 record in Gulf South Conference play.
- Mississippi College is 3-3 in its last six matches.
- The Blazers and Choctaws have faced two common opponents, Auburn Montgomery and West Florida, with both teams going 0-2 against those respective schools.
- Sophomore outside hitter Jamie Boros leads the Choctaws in kills (219) and K/set (3.25).
- Senior Julia Martin (327 digs) and freshman Kate Bass (52 blocks) lead the Choctaws defensively.

- VSU travels to West Alabama to face a Tigers team that has dropped its last six matches.

- VSU and UWA have faced five common opponents Francis Marion, UNC Pembroke, West Florida, Auburn Montgomery and Converse College; UWA is 2-3 against those schools.
- Senior outside hitter Taylor Donato leads UWA in kills (258) and K/Set (3.97).
- The Tigers are led defensively by senior Rebecca Johnson (274 digs) and junior Bret Luther (44 blocks. Â
