Kuhns guided the Lady Blazers to the Gulf South Conference Tournament title her first season and back-to-back NCAA appearances. The Lady Blazers were picked second in the preseason GSC Poll, released in October behind league-favorite Union, who VSU opens league play with at The Complex, Nov. 29.

PBA was picked 11
thin the Preseason Sunshine State Conference Poll as Manisha Redus begins her first year as head coach. Last season, the Sailfish went 4-22 and lost their last 10 games of the season. Redus is no stranger to the GSC as she spent the last three years as an assistant coach at West Georgia. She also was at Montevallo and played four year at Alabama, graduating in 2005.
This will be the first meeting between VSU and PBA since the Sailfish won 89-83 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Nov. 26, 2016, at the Nova Southeastern Thanksgiving Classic. For the game, three Lady Blazers scored 20 or more points as Franklin had 20 points on 7 of 13 from the field with one triple and 5 of 8 from the line. Along with Franklin,
