HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • VSU and UWG played to a scoreless first half as the Blazers had the early advantage with a barrage of shots in the seventh minute.

  • On the final play of the half, senior Suvi Savolainen fired on frame, but Donaldson made the save to preserve the 0-0 score.

  • Lewis scored off an assist from senior Mallory McDaniel on a header cross for a 1-0 lead at the 61:39 mark.
  • Off a bad clearance from the Wolves, freshman Lauren Hicks ound the back of the net at the 68:38 mark and a 2-0 lead as sophomore Lexie Hall had the assist.
  • Paterson scored her first goal of the season and fifth of her career as McDaniel had the assist one again at the 72:29 mark.
