- UAH battled within 16-14, but the Blazers scored seven-straight points and nine of ten to end the set at 25-15 and a 2-0 lead.
- The third set was much more like the first as a back-and-forth affair. VSU battled back within 17-19 on three-straight points, but UAH had the answer, scoring six of the final seven points for a 25-18 win.
- The Chargers built a 12-7 lead in the fourth set, but VSU answered with another long rally – this time nine-straight points for a 16-12 lead.
- VSU led 20-15, but the Chargers wouldn't go quietly as they staved off three match points for a 24-22 deficit, but senior Lindsey Robinson ended all hopes of the comeback with a kill and the 54thand final assist for sophomore Tammy Reyes-Perez
