VALDOSTA, Ga. – Valdosta State women's basketball head coach Carley Kuhns sat down with Blazer Athletics for an in-depth preview of the upcoming 2016 season, which is set to begin tonight in TitleTown, USA.
 
The Lady Blazer basketball program turned the page to an exciting new chapter this summer, as Coach Kuhns, a former Lady Blazer and Valdosta State Athletic Hall-of-Famer, was named the newest head coach of the program. Kuhns brings a reputation of strong recruiting skills to the fray, along with an expectation for a fast-paced, energetic style of basketball. As the all-time leader in VSU history with 262 career three-pointers, fans can count on a high-powered offensive attack beginning in November, which will feature a host of key returners, including Maddie Mitchell, Aaliyah Cheatham, and Maddi Corazza.
 
First up for the Lady Blazers is a pair of weekend matchups, beginning with a 6:00 p.m. matchup against the Albany State Golden Rams on Friday, followed by a 2:00 p.m. showdown against Eckerd on Saturday.
