Lady Blazers Win Big Over Trinity, 108-49

VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Valdosta State women's basketball team overpowered the Eagles of Trinity Baptist on Monday night at the Complex with a scoring barrage that led the Lady Blazers to a landslide 108-49 victory.

The win pushed the Lady Blazers to a 4-0 all-time record over the Eagles and lifted Head Coach Kiley Hill's squad to a 3-2 record overall heading into the brief Thanksgiving break. The loss dropped Judy Allen's Eagles to a 1-5 record on the season.

Valdosta State enjoyed an offensive output that included total domination in the paint, as the Lady Blazers outscored the Eagles 76-14 from less than 15 feet. The overall point total marked the third time the Lady Blazers have eclipsed the century mark since the beginning of Kiley Hill's tenure.

Junior Aliyah Johnson paved the way for VSU on the attack with a complete effort that included a career-high 21 points, while freshman Jarfaith Jones added 17 points and seven rebounds. 11 players scored in the contest, and five reached double figures in the scoring column.

The Lady Blazers now look ahead to Saturday night, when Webber International comes to town for a women's and men's double header at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in Valdosta at The Complex. The matchup represents the final non-conference game of the season.
