Rebecca Nolin

With years of experience on the pitch as both a collegiate and professional soccer player and four years served on the Kennesaw State coaching staff, Rebecca "Becks" Nolin is preparing for her second year at the helm of the Valdosta State program in 2015.

Coach Nolin made a big splash during her first year as a collegiate head coach, leading the Valdosta State soccer program to its first ever Gulf South Conference Title near the end of the 2014 season. Under Nolin's guidance, the team advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division II Tournament, and finished with a 12-7-2 record.

While earning a Sports Management degree at Kennesaw State University, Nolin put together a stellar soccer career as a student-athlete that included 16 career goals, four of which were game winners, along with 11 assists. Additionally, she played an integral role for the Owls during their National Championship season in 2003.

Shortly after the conclusion of her playing career at KSU, Nolin made the transition to the professional ranks with the Atlanta Silverbacks, a USL W-League program, where she played from 2007 through 2009. The following year, the former Owl joined the Women's Professional Soccer League as a center back and center midfielder for the Atlanta Beat before returning to the Silverbacks in 2011, where she produced three assists and scored a goal in a campaign that helped lift the team to its first ever W-League title.

A native of England, Nolin's leadership roles on the pitch trace all the way back to 2001, where she served as a captain of the Chelsea Ladies Football Club. Her career track as a player led her back to a coaching position at Kennesaw State in 2010, where she began a four-year tenure as an assistant coach under Rob King. Her duties at KSU included a plethora of coaching responsibilities.

Nolin's coaching experience extends even further with time served as a Technical Development Coach for the Gwinnett Soccer Association from 2008-10. Her enthusiastic coaching style with a focus on perfecting the little things has benefited the Georgia Olympic Soccer Development Program as well, where she began a recent stint as an Olympic Development Assistant Coach in 2013.
