Tyray Devezin has been the running backs coach for the Valdosta State football team since June 2025. In his first season with the Blazers he contributed to the team's victory in the Gulf South Conference championship and coached several players who were awarded All-GSC status, including Corey Reddick Jr. on the First Team and Eric Watts on the Second Team, as well as Shawn Paschall, who was named GSC Offensive Freshman of the Year.
Before he became head coach at Valdosta State, Devezin was an offensive graduate assistant and offensive line coach at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and also held the positions of running backs coach and offensive academic coordinator at Shorter University. In addition to these roles, his coaching experience has involved opponent film breakdown, offensive game planning, scouting and player development.
From 2017 to 2022 Devezin played college football for both the University of West Georgia and Mercer University, gaining All-America and All-Conference recognition. He ended his playing career with 2,826 all-purpose yards and 30 touchdowns. He obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Sports Marketing and Analytics from Mercer University.
