Emyah Fortenberry is a Graduate Assistant for Blazer Sports Media at Valdosta State University while pursuing a Master of Arts in Integrated Communication. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication with a minor in Art from West Virginia State University, where she was a four-year student-athlete on the women’s basketball team.
Emyah has experience in sports broadcasting, live event production, and digital media, including play-by-play/color commentary, sideline reporting, interviewing, camera operation, and social media content creation. She is passionate about storytelling through sports and hopes to build a career in sports broadcasting, entertainment media, and on-camera hosting. In her role with Blazer Sports Media, she assists with live productions, trains student workers, and helps create engaging content for Valdosta State Athletics.
