Valdosta Athletics

Dataysha Thomas joined the Valdosta State University sports medicine staff in July of 2026 and works as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for volleyball, women’s basketball, cheer and dance.

Prior to Valdosta State, Dataysha received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training at The University of Alabama. She was a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of West Alabama in Livingston, Al from August 2024 to April 2026, where she worked with women’s basketball while earning her master’s degree in Physical Education.
