Brett Weeks Headshot

Brett Weeks

A native of Pensacola, Brett Weeks joins the Valdosta State baseball coaching staff in the Fall of 2026 under Head Coach J.D. Hulse.

Weeks joins the Blazers from the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, the Minor League Double-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. Prior to Pensacola, Weeks served on the coaching staff at Coastal Alabama Community College, Spring Hill College, University of West Florida, and Tallahassee State College. Throughout his coaching career, he has established a reputation for developing pitchers, identifying high-level talent, and preparing student-athletes to compete at the next level. Across his coaching stops, four players have been selected in the Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft.

During his time at Coastal Alabama, Weeks served as the program’s Recruiting Coordinator and Pitching Coach under legendary Head Coach Keith Griffin. Following his first recruitment cycle, the Coyotes captured their first ACCC State Championship since 2000. Many members of that roster continued their baseball careers at the NCAA Division I and II levels while racking up five All-Conference Selections and an appearance in the Regional Finals.

At Spring Hill College, Weeks helped develop one of the conference’s premier pitching staffs. Under his guidance, the Badgers led the SIAC conference in Earned Run Average (ERA) and Strikeouts while four pitchers were awarded All-Conference Selections.

Before beginning his coaching career, Weeks played collegiately at Jefferson Davis Community College and later finished his bachelor’s degree at the University of West Florida. He married his wife, Lourdes, in 2025 and currently resides in Valdosta.
