Brandon Cerezola joins the Valdosta State women’s basketball staff with nearly a decade of coaching experience spanning the collegiate, high school and grassroots levels. A native of Peachtree City, Ga., Cerezola has spent the past seven seasons as a head coach and has coached at both the men’s and women’s levels. His coaching career includes stops at Truett McConnell University, Hiwassee College, Schreiner University, Landmark Christian School and Starr’s Mill High School, while also working with the Southeast All-Stars Adidas 3SSB program.

Most recently, Cerezola led the Starr’s Mill girls basketball program from 2024-26, compiling a 47-11 record and guiding the Panthers to the 2025-26 Region 3AAAA Regular Season Championship. During his tenure, Starr’s Mill set program records for wins in a season, points per game and points allowed per game, while Cerezola was named Region 3AAAA Coach of the Year. He also coached the Region Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year and helped produce 16 college offer opportunities for five players. At the grassroots level, Cerezola has coached with the Southeast All-Stars Adidas 3SSB program, working with more than 30 players who went on to play collegiately, including more than 20 Division I athletes.

Cerezola's collegiate coaching career began at Truett McConnell, where he served as a graduate assistant for the men's and women's programs and later as interim sports information director. He went on to become the head women's basketball coach at Hiwassee College, where at age 23 he was recognized as the youngest college head coach in America and led the program to a 22-5 record and an NCCAA Division I National Tournament Elite Eight appearance. He later served as an assistant men's basketball coach at Schreiner University before taking over the boys program at Landmark Christian School. Cerezola earned his bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Sports Management and a master's degree in Business Administration from Truett McConnell University.
