Josephine Brooks holds the position of graduate assistant at Valdosta State's strength and conditioning program. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Valdosta State in May 2025 having completed a five-month internship with the strength and conditioning staff. After finishing her internship, she was given a graduate assistantship by the program.
In this role, Brooks provides the athletic teams she works with with programs for lifts while at the same time instructing the athletes and ensuring that they are using the correct technique during each training session. She also has a background in sports science and helps out with the data analysis for the VSU athletic teams.
Brooks is in her second year with the strength and conditioning program. In the previous year she worked with the volleyball teams, the men's and women's cross country teams and tennis, as well as assisting with football. This year, however, she is working with the volleyball teams, the men's and women's cross country teams and softball, and is also assisting with football.
