PRIOR TO VALDOSTA STATE: Played three years at Marion Military Institute…Recorded 95 games played, 101 hits, 58 runs, 24 doubles, five triples, six home runs, and 54 RBI on 275 at-bats…Finished with a .367 batting average, a .450 one-base percentage, and a .556 slugging percentage…In the field, tallied 80 putouts and one assist for a .931 fielding percentage…Attended Pelham High School.
