Adam Amar starts his first season as a volunteer assistant for the Blazers. Amar was 4 year starter and All-American at the University of Memphis and was inducted into the University of Memphis Hall of Fame in 2019.
After college, Amar played 4 years of professional baseball with the Toronto Blue Jays and Washington Nationals, where he was a Minor League All-Star and won the Minor League Home Run Derby in 2009.
He currently works as a perfusionist in heart surgery at South Georgia Medical Center. He previously volunteered as a hitting coach at Lowndes High School and Echols County High School. He lives in Lake Park with his wife, Karli, his son Adrian (4), and his daughter Ava (3).
