Your support of Blazer Athletics by way of donations, sponsorships,
V-State Club memberships, or Corporate Club memberships provide annual support to VSU athletic programs and its student-athletes. Additionally, it plays a vital role as we continue to produce champions at the NCAA Division II level. Georgia does not fund collegiate athletics and as educational, travel, and equipment expenses continue to rise, it becomes increasingly difficult to fund scholarships and operational support for our student-athletes. Your financial support helps us offset these costs.
Each donor can elect to make a gift to athletics through the Valdosta State University Foundation that best suits his or her personal preference and interest. You may designate your gift to Blazer Athletic Scholarships which is the best way to support all VSU athletic programs and provide scholarship support for student-athletes for all sports at VSU. Alternatively, your gift may be designated for use by any of Valdosta State's intercollegiate teams. Benefits begin with annual gifts made at the $500 level; However, smaller gifts are accepted and greatly appreciated. Donations are partially or fully tax deductible depending on benefits received.
Matching Gifts: The VSU Foundation has qualified for the matching gift programs of a large number of companies. If your company or your spouse's is a participant, you will receive credit membership credit for both you and the employer's total contribution, thus doubling or even tripling your gift's impact. Interested donors should contact their personnel office for complete information on their employer's matching gifts program.
Planned Gifts: You can make a substantial contribution to the Blazer Boosters through gifts-in-trust, charitable annuities, stock transfers, real estate, life insurance policies, and bequests. Many of these options provide significant tax savings, as well as rates of return significantly higher than traditional investments.
Major Gifts: Through the Blazer Boosters' alliance with the Valdosta State University Foundation, contributors may choose to make major gifts that support capital projects, facilities expansion, named endowments and facilities, and special initiatives for the intercollegiate athletics program.
