VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Valdosta State women's soccer team continues to excel in the classroom, earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 academic year, marking the program's ninth consecutive year receiving the prestigious academic honor.
 
The United Soccer Coaches announced its 2025-26 College Team Academic Award winners recognizing college soccer programs across the country for their exemplary academic performance during the past academic year. A total of 798 soccer teams, including 335 men's and 463 women's programs, were recognized.
 
Valdosta State posted an impressive 3.51 team GPA, ranking the Blazers among the top women's programs recognized nationally. The program has earned the award each and every season under Head Coach Stephen Andrew. 

The Blazers open the 2026 campaign on Sunday, August 30 at 5pm when they play host to Georgia College and State University inside the VSU Soccer complex. Tickets can be purchased at www.vstateblazers.com/tickets.
