DICKSON, Tenn. – The Valdosta State men's golf team fired a 293 on Tuesday in the second round of the 2026 Gulf South Conference Championships on the par 72, 6,858-yard Greystone Golf Club course. Blazer junior
Alexander Nilehn finished the second round with a 2-under 70. The Blazers sit tied for fifth with a 583 score, heading into Wednesday's final round.
Top-ranked West Florida fired a 7-under 281 on Tuesday for an 11-under 565 score, while No. 2 Lee carded an 8-under 280 to move into second at 9-under 567. Mississippi College sits third at 3-under 573, while Union fired a 5-under second round to move into fourth at 2-under 574. VSU and Trevecca Nazarene are tied for fifth. Christian Brothers sits seventh (599), followed by Delta State (601) and Montevallo (610).
Individually, Mississippi College's Joao Iglesias leads the tournament with a 9-under 135, holding a three-shot lead over Lee's Drew Zielinski who moved up five spots, carding a 5-under 67 on Tuesday. He heads into the final round at 6-under 138. Mississippi College's Todd Mckie is third at 4-under 140, while Union's Lane Carr is fourth at 3-under 141.
There is a tie for fifth between six players, including Nilehn who is 2-under for the championship (142). Blazer junior

th at 1-under (143). Junior

nd with a 147 score on rounds of 73 and 74. Freshman
Kaleb Shiver is tied for 28
th with rounds of 75 and 76 for a 151 score. Senior
