VALDOSTA, Ga. – Valdosta State unveiled its men's and women's tennis schedules Wednesday for the 2026 spring season, featuring a combined 14 home matches at the VSU Tennis Complex. The Blazer men will host six matches, while the women's program is set for eight home contests this spring.
Blazer Men's Tennis
The back-to-back defending NCAA Division II National Champion Blazers open the 2026 spring slate on Tuesday, Feb. 3, hosting Middle Georgia at 2 p.m. at the VSU Tennis Complex.
VSU enters the season riding a 42-match winning streak, dating back to a 7-0 victory over West Alabama on March 29, 2024. Despite capturing the last two national championships, the Blazers open the year ranked No. 2 in the ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings released Jan. 14. Barry holds the top spot, followed by Flagler, West Florida, and Lubbock Christian rounding out the top five.
Following the opener, the Blazers host No. 15 Embry-Riddle on Feb. 14 before road trips to No. 14 Florida Southern (Feb. 16) and Coastal Georgia (Feb. 28) to close out February.
March marks the start of Gulf South Conference play as VSU begins its quest for a league-best 18th GSC title and fourth straight conference championship. The Blazers host No. 15 Lee on March 4, travel to face Delta State in Pensacola, Fla., and return home to host No. 11 Columbus State on March 11. Road matches at Georgia College and Montevallo follow, highlighted by a marquee match at No. 1 Barry on March 21. Auburn Montgomery visits Valdosta on March 27 before the Blazers travel to No. 12 Saint Leo on March 29.
April opens with four conference matches in Pensacola over a two-week span to conclude league play. VSU returns home to host Lynn on April 17 for Senior Day.
The 2026 GSC Championship will be held April 23–26 in Tuscaloosa, Ala. NCAA Regional competition begins in early May, followed by the NCAA Division II National Championships set for May 19–24, 2026, at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex in Surprise, Ariz.

Blazer Women's Tennis
The Blazer women's team enters the 2026 spring season with an entirely new roster after welcoming seven newcomers in the fall. After gaining valuable experience during fall tournaments, the squad is poised for significant growth this spring.
VSU opens the season at home on Feb. 3 against Middle Georgia at 2 p.m., followed by a challenging early stretch that includes hosting No. 2 Nova Southeastern on Feb. 6 and No. 7 Embry-Riddle on Feb. 14. Road matches at No. 11 Florida Southern (Feb. 16) and Coastal Georgia (Feb. 28) round out February.
March begins with a home match against No. 24 Lee on March 4, followed by a trip to Pensacola to face Delta State. The Blazers return home to host No. 10 Columbus State on March 11 before traveling to Georgia College and Montevallo. A tough late-March road stretch includes matches at No. 1 Barry and No. 4 Flagler on March 25. VSU then hosts No. 21 Auburn Montgomery on March 27 before closing the month at Saint Leo on March 29.
