Blazer Golf Earns Platform Golf Team Academic Award

NORMAN, Okla. – The Valdosta State men's golf team earned the 2024-25 Platform Golf Team Academic Award, announced Tuesday by the Golf Coaches Association of America.  

The Blazers were one of 33 NCAA Division II men's golf programs to have a team cumulative grade-point average of 3.0+ for the 2024-25 academic year.  VSU earned All-Academic Team honors as West Florida also earned the honor for teams from the Gulf South Conference.  A total of 19 other D2 programs had a 3.5+ GPA earning Presidents Special Recognition honors.

Findlay (Ohio) earned 2024-25 Academic National Champion honors for D2 with a division-best 3.83 GPA.  Overall, a GCAA-record 292 schools across six divisions (D1, D2, D3, NAIA, NJCAA I, NJCAA II), while 129 schools received the Presidents Special Recognition for a GPA of 3.5 or above.
