KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Valdosta State women's soccer earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for 2024-2025, the organization announced this week.  
 
The Blazers carded a team grade-point average of 3.51 for the 2024-25 academic year and were one of 697 soccer teams (283 men, 41 women) to post a team grade-point average of 3.0 or better.  
 
Blazer head women's soccer coach Stephen Andrew begins his ninth season at the helm of the Blazers in 2025 and the team opens the 2025 season Sept. 4 at 5:30 p.m. at Middle Georgia, while the 2025 home opener is set for Sept. 7 at 1 p.m. versus Palm Beach Atlantic at the VSU Soccer Complex.
