NORMAN, Okla. – Four Valdosta State men's golfers earned 2024-25 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors NCAA Division II, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced Tuesday.  Blazer spring graduates Brandon Cho and Chase Long, along with rising senior Elad Sebbag and junior Alexander Nilehn earned the prestigious honor.  
 
Along with VSU's four selections, Lee had three honorees as did West Florida for institutions from the Gulf South Conference.  To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate's degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
 
207 NCAA Division II athletes from 78 schools earned 2024-25 Cobalt All-America Scholar honors. Georgia Southwestern, Lander, and Saint Leo led the division with five recipients. 17 other NCAA Division II schools had four recipients, including Anderson (SC), Barton, Colorado Christian, Findlay, Fort Hays State, Harding, Henderson State, Lincoln Memorial, Newberry, Ohio Dominican, Oklahoma Christian, Parkside, Rockhurst, Tiffin, USC Aiken, Valdosta State, and Wayne State (MI).
