PENSACOLA, Fla. – The No. 3 Valdosta State men's tennis team won its 24
th-straight match with a 7-0 win over Delta State Friday afternoon at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Complex on the campus of the University of West Florida. VSU improved to 8-0 on the year and 3-0 in Gulf South Conference play.

Xaveam Van Wijk won 6-2 at the top spot over Jacob Lubbe and Sebastian Hernandez.
In singles, the Blazers changed up the lineup as Van Wijk won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5 over Tom Rance for a 2-0 lead, while Bord, ranked No. 66 nationally, won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4 over Lubbe for a 3-0 lead and Skierkier, ranked No. 3 nationally, clinched the win at No. 2 singles with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Hernandez. Matteo Castellazzi won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 6 over Albert and junior
Jerome Iaconi won 6-4, 6-1 at No. 3 singles over Andrej Komnenic for the 7-0 victory.
VSU originally was supposed to play West Alabama on Saturday in Pensacola, but the match has been postponed due to the threat of inclement weather Saturday. No makeup date has been announced as of yet. VSU now will prepare to travel to Lee on Wed., Mar. 19 for a 2 p.m. match in Cleveland, Tenn.
